COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 we are having to change the way we are working.  We understand that this is a significant change to the way you access care from us. We are lucky to have such a compassionate and responsible community and we believe that with your support and understanding through this unprecedented time we will be able to keep the practice running and support you.

If you have a fever, feel short of breath or have a cough do not come to the practice or telephone us, instead visit NHS Inform.  If following this you feel you require medical attention telephone NHS 24 on 111.  This number is free to telephone.

Face Coverings

"For children under 5 years of age or those with particular health conditions who cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering because of any physical or mental illness or impairment or disability or without severe distress an exemption applies.  There is no requirement to obtain evidence in the form of a letter from a doctor or government that you are exempt.  If you have a condition which means you cannot wear a face covering you need only advise that you cannot wear a face covering because you are exempt for one of the reasons listed above."

Care Planning Conversations

You may have been asked to 'shield' during the COVID-19 pandemic, often because your existing health conditions put you at particular risk.

As part of this, the practice may contact you to ask what your plans are should you become unwell.  We know this might be a worrying thing for you to think about so, Paul Baughan, one of our local GPs, has recorded the video below to help explain what the conversation is about.
